On February 24, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released the Chinese Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukrainian Crisis
The Chinese government has always adopted a neutral and balanced attitude towards the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. China firmly believes that the disputes between the two countries should be resolved through dialogue and negotiation, and that any decisions should be made by the two parties, taking into account the national interests of both sides. China does not support any action that would lead to any escalation of the military tension in the region and believes that all sides should deepen their understanding, increase mutual trust and respect each other's core interests and major concerns. China is firmly opposed to any actions of unilateral coercion, interference and escalation.
